That has a practical consequence. The higher the camera housing stands, the more it becomes the first thing that touches a table when you put the phone down, and the more leverage a knock has against it. A taller plateau is also a bigger flat target for scratches from keys, coins and sand.
None of this is confirmed by Apple yet. But if the leaked design holds, camera protection stops being an optional extra on this model and starts being the obvious first accessory.

The three layers, and what each one actually protects
This is where most people get confused, because the three products sound similar and are not. They protect different surfaces and they work together rather than replacing each other.
- Camera plateau protector: a shield over the whole raised camera housing, including the metal area around the lenses. Guards the part that hits the table first
- G-Armor lens protector: individual armoured covers over the glass circles themselves. Guards the optics you actually shoot through
- Tempered glass: full screen coverage. Guards the display, which is the most expensive single panel to replace
- A case: guards the edges, corners and back, and its raised lip is what stops a flat drop reaching the screen and camera at all
Do you need all three?
Honestly, no. Most people do not. Here is how we would actually rank them if you are spending in order.
Start with tempered glass. A cracked screen is the most common and most expensive iPhone repair, so this is the layer that pays for itself most often. Our CLEAR High Defense Tempered Glass is RM65.
Add camera protection second, and this is the year to take it seriously given the taller plateau. The Camera Plateau Protector is RM35 and covers the whole housing, while the G-Armor Lens Protector is RM65 and armours the lens glass directly. If you only want one, the plateau protector covers more surface area for less.

What all three together cost
Taking the full set at current prices: RM65 for the tempered glass, RM35 for the plateau protector and RM65 for the G-Armor lens protector. That is RM165 for complete screen and camera coverage, before you add a case.
For context, that is a fraction of a single screen repair, and roughly the price of one mid-range case. Whether it is worth it depends entirely on how you carry your phone. If it lives in a bag with keys, it is easy maths. If it lives alone in a jacket pocket, tempered glass alone is a reasonable stopping point.

Will these fit the iPhone 18 Pro?
Not yet, and we will be straight about why. Screen protectors and camera protectors are cut to exact model dimensions, and Apple has not released the iPhone 18 Pro. Everything we currently stock is tooled for the iPhone 17 Pro and earlier.
This matters more for camera protection than for anything else. Most iPhone 17 cases are not expected to fit the iPhone 18 Pro cleanly, because the camera lenses sit higher and each case is tooled to an exact model, so the camera lip and cutouts may not line up (rumored, to be confirmed at launch). A plateau protector cut for the iPhone 17 Pro will not sit correctly on a housing that leaks describe as roughly 2mm thicker, and a lens protector that is even slightly misaligned can show up in your photos as flare or softness.

Fitting them without trapping dust
Most bad screen protector results are installation, not product. Two minutes of preparation makes the difference between an invisible layer and a bubble you stare at for a year.
The single biggest factor is airborne dust. A bathroom shortly after a hot shower is the classic trick, because the steam pulls dust out of the air. Beyond that, it is patience: clean, align, then let it settle rather than pressing at it.
- Wipe with the alcohol pad first, then the dry cloth, then lift any last specks with the sticker tab
- Line up the cutouts before any part of the adhesive touches the screen
- Lower it from one edge rather than dropping it flat, so air pushes out ahead of it
- Leave small bubbles alone for a day, most disappear as the adhesive settles
- For lens protectors, check alignment in the camera app before pressing down, since a slight offset shows up in photos

Do I need both a plateau protector and a lens protector?
Not necessarily. They cover different areas: the plateau protector shields the whole raised housing, the G-Armor lens protector sits directly over the glass you shoot through. If you are buying one, the plateau protector covers more surface for less money. If you shoot a lot and want the optics themselves armoured, add G-Armor as well.
Does a lens protector affect photo quality?
A well made one that is correctly aligned should not noticeably change your photos. A misaligned one can, usually showing up as flare in bright light or a soft edge. That is why we suggest checking alignment in the camera app before you press it down. If you see flare afterwards, lift and reseat it rather than living with it.

Is tempered glass or a case more important?
